Community rules
Last updated October 5, 2026
Community scripts are how traders on Ace share what they build. These rules keep them useful and fair. Publishing a script or posting a comment means you agree to them, and to our terms.
Publishing
- Describe it properly. Say what it does, how to read it and what its settings change. A title and a chart aren't enough.
- Publish your own work. If it builds on someone else's code or idea, credit them and follow their license. Don't republish other people's scripts, open-source or not, as new ones.
- No misleading claims. No promises of profit, win rates or signals that can't lose. Backtest results are hypothetical: say so when you show them.
- No ads. No links to paid groups, signal services, referral links or sales pitches in titles, descriptions, release notes or comments. Selling your own invite-only script is fine: its price and how to buy go in its "How to get access" box.
- Nothing harmful. No code meant to break the terminal, hog its resources, or get at anyone else's data.
- One script, one page. Improve a script with Publish update rather than publishing copies of it.
Open-source, protected and invite-only
- Open-source code is there for everyone on Ace to read, copy and build on. Unless your code says otherwise, publishing it open-source licenses it under the Mozilla Public License 2.0.
- Protected and invite-only code stays private: Ace keeps it encrypted and never shows it. Don't try to get at it.
- Invite-only scripts run for the members their author gives access, and the author decides who that is.
Selling your scripts
- Your script, your money. Give access to an invite-only script for free or sell it, on your own terms: you set the price, take the payment and give access from the script's page. Ace takes no cut.
- The deal is between you and your buyer. Ace isn't part of it and doesn't process, hold or guarantee payments, refunds or support. Describe honestly what buyers get, and keep the promises you make.
- Buying access? You're dealing with the author, not Ace. Read the script's page and comments, and make sure you know what you're getting before you pay.
Comments
- Be respectful: disagree with ideas, not people.
- Stay on topic: questions, feedback, bug reports, ways to use the script.
- No spam, ads or links to sell something.
Moderation
- Anyone can report a script or a comment. A moderator reviews reports and may take a script down, remove a comment or, for serious or repeated breaches, close an account.
- A script that's taken down is gone for everyone but its author, who sees why.
- An author can remove comments on their own scripts.
